Roar (and Shop) for Change: 5 Crazy Cool Star Wars Goodies to Buy RN

Hopefully you’re reading this on Star Wars Day aka May the Fourth, or the day or two after. Why? Well, because Lucasfilm and Star Wars: Force for Change has launched a special project to support UNICEF’s mighty mission called Road for Change. They’re asking us fans to share our own Wookiee roar on social media. Between May 3 – 25, each share on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that includes the #RoarForChange hashtag, Star Wars: Force for Change will donate $1 to UNICEF (up to $1 million). “Chewbacca may not always have the best temperament but beneath the gruff exterior is a heart of gold,” says director Ron Howard in the launch video. “That’s why he’s challenging you to Roar for Change.”

Not only do help UNICEF (and really, who WOULDN’T want to help them), but between May 4 and 6th, you’ll get 10% off your Star Wars Disney Store purchase. We checked out their offering and found five things we’d love to pick up (especially with an extra 10% off and a kick back going to charity). Heck, we’re ready to whip out Amex and buy them all. Chewy would approve.

BB-8 Padawan Blanket by Pendleton($44.99): Pendleton is an unlikely partner with Star Wars, but somehow the old school wool company and the sci-fi saga mash-up works. The Disney Store doesn’t carry the entire line of Star Wars blankies, but this particular BB-8 inspired one is half off.

Kylo Ren Dress for Women by Her Universe ($34.99): The main reason we’re including this one is that it’s a steal. Not only is this simple and stylish dress half off, but you can get an extra 10% with the #Roarforchange initiative.

Solo: A Star Wars Story Skirt ($78): Created especially for Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, this stylish Her Universe Solo: A Star Wars Story skirt is out of this world.

Lando Calrissian and L3-37 Socks by Stance ($19.95): If you’re a fan of Donald Glover’s Atlanta, you probably never thought that he’d be cast as Lando (which is PERFECT by the way) or that you’d be able to wear his face on your feet. But life’s crazy and now you can.

Star Wars Slow Cooker ($19.95): We’re a sucker for a whimsical slow cooker (plus anything yummy that resides inside). While we totally covet that super cute Pixar one, we wouldn’t say no to the two-quart Star Wars inspired one.
